The record high of 98 degrees for Denver, previously set in 1994 was tied today.
The high temperature of 97 in Pueblo was 3 degrees below the record high of 100 for this date, while Colorado Springs high temperature of 90 fell 4 degrees short of its record high of 94. Alamosa was just 2 degrees shy of its record high of 87 with a high temperature of 85 today.
High pressure over the region was resulting in above normal temperatures across eastern Colorado and little in the way of meaningful rains. Showers activity today was resulting in only light rainfall with gusty winds and occasional lightning. More of the same is expected Tuesday and Wednesday with either dry conditions or isolated showers and thunderstorms, minimal rains, and hot temperatures
